Create your own custom collets!!
• This link is for the custom production fee ONLY - you will still need to pay £10 for a 303 stainless collet blank - £50 is just the cost of designing, plus the custom job.
• This custom job will take between 1-3 months, depending on the availability of our engineer, technician, and CNC milling machine.
• You will need to pay £50 for EACH type of custom collet to be designed and custom-milled. If you order more than 1 unit of the same custom collet, you just need to pay the extra £10 per extra collet.
• Another different cartridge is another £50.
• You will need to send us a drawing, or a link to the drawing, of the cartridge and chamber if the cartridge is not listed on SAAMI. You don’t need to send us a drawing if the drawing of the cartridge and chamber is listed on SAAMI. We will remake the collet if our collet is out of spec when compared to the SAAMI max cartridge drawing.
• We can not do collets for straight-wall brass, as there is no shoulder to support the case.
• We can not do collets for any cartridges with a neck outer diameter larger than 10mm, as our cutter OD=10mm.
• Unlike collet #0 (which uses 12L14 carbon steel) our custom-made collet will use 303 stainless steel for milling.
Please note……It will take an engineer between 0.5-1 hour for the drawing, plus 5 hours of a senior CNC technician’s programming, plus jig and tooling setting time, with one high-grade CNC milling center standing by for that time…..all this for just £50 is a bargain!
