About Us
Our Story
Derraco Engineering Ltd is an Australian firm, which was developed by two knife makers and machining hobbyists who sadly lost their jobs due to Covid in 2021.
The pair spent over a year perfecting the designs for the “Ugly Annealer” machine, choosing the best and most appropriate materials to make the machine, meaning no plywood case, no cheap plastics, and no corners could be cut.
Since that time the company has gone from strength-to-strength and gone on to develop a whole host of other related tools for the shooting community and their reloading needs.
The ethos of the company is always to hold designs to be both aesthetic as well as functional, and all engineering to always be held to the absolute highest of tolerances.
Over the years the Ugly Annealer, and now other reloading tools as well, are available worldwide thanks to a team of distributors in most countries, who, between them, can ensure you have access to whatever tools you need to make your reloads as accurate and easily achieved as possible.
Meet The Team
Martin Shaw
Derraco UK
Martin is an avid rifle shooter, predominantly favouring PRS and PRS-22 styles of shooting, but dabbling in a smatter of other disciplines as well - PSG, mini rifle, CSR, and F-Class. Most of this is shot at Diggle ranges, in Saddleworth, Oldham, but he does occasionally venue out from there to visit competitions across the country.
Only new to the sport since Covid hit the UK, Martin has been keen to immerse himself into the sport, and is an avid reloader, currently reloading for 223 REM, 6mmBR, and 6.5 PRC.
Martin lives in Chorley, Lancashire, with his family, and works part-time as the UK ambassador for Derraco alongside his day job.
